Important information about the resale market for coins and precious metals.
Last updated: July 2026
National Coin Group sells coins, currency, and precious metals as collectibles for personal enjoyment and collection-building. They are not offered, marketed, or sold as investments, securities, or retirement products, and NCG provides no investment advice of any kind.
NCG makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee regarding the price at which any item may be resold, if at all. Collectible markets are driven by supply, demand, collector interest, and underlying metals prices, all of which fluctuate and can decline. The price you pay reflects retail factors including sourcing, handling, insurance, and overhead, and may exceed the item's melt value or immediate resale value, sometimes substantially.
Like all physical collectibles and precious metals, coins are subject to a spread between retail (ask) prices and wholesale (bid) prices. If you resell an item shortly after purchase, you should expect to receive less than your purchase price, potentially significantly less, even if underlying metals prices have not moved.
NCG is under no obligation to repurchase any item it sells. Any repurchase offer NCG chooses to make will reflect then-current wholesale market conditions at NCG's sole discretion.
There is no assurance of an active resale market for any particular coin at any particular time. The time required to resell a collectible coin varies and may be substantial.
Grading is subjective. A grade assigned or referenced by NCG is an opinion, and other dealers or third-party grading services may reach different conclusions, which can affect resale value.
Historical price appreciation of any coin, series, or metal is not an indication or guarantee of future performance. Markets that have risen can and do fall.
By purchasing from NCG, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Resale Disclaimer, that you are purchasing collectibles for personal collection purposes, that you have had the opportunity to consult your own independent advisors, and that you are not relying on any statement by NCG regarding future value, resale price, or liquidity.
